INDIE BEER launches a new campaign

INDIE BEER launched a recent campaign aimed at differentiating between independent and non-independent breweries across the UK.

This campaign, led by SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers and Associates) and supported by organisations such as CAMRA, BII, and IFBB, aims to spotlight the craftsmanship, skill, and passion that go into indie brewing across the UK.

They are using the INDIE BEER mark as a 'recognisable standard' for quality craft and cask beer. This comes at a time when more and more "craft" breweries are being acquired by large multinational brewing corporations, making it increasingly difficult to distinguish between independent producers and corporate-owned brands.

Celebrating Local Brewers at ‘Beers from the Borough’

This November, the Leytonstone Tavern has been shining a spotlight on the vibrant independent brewing scene in Waltham Forest with their month-long event, Beers from the Borough. In support of the Indie Beer campaign, this event is celebrating local breweries — including us here at East London Brewing — and the fantastic range of beers we’re all crafting right on your doorstep.

With 13 taps dedicated to showcasing local brews, it’s a great opportunity to support the borough’s indie brewers and discover something new. Among the beers on offer are our own East End Lager and Quadrant Stout.

The event isn’t just about the beer; it’s about bringing the community together to support small, independent businesses in the area. With beer bingo, raffles, and a lot of decent beer, it’s a great way to show your love for Waltham Forest’s brewing talent.

The event runs until the end of the month, and we’re thrilled to be part of this celebration of local breweries. If you’re in the area, we’d love for you to stop by and raise a glass to the hard work and creativity that makes our borough’s beer scene so special.
