ELB Privacy Statement
On occasions, customers share their information with ELB because they would like to order something or have a query that they would like us to answer. We understand our obligations with regard to this personal information and we hope that this Privacy Statement clarifies our attitude to and care of it.
1. Data
ELB only uses personal data that customers provide to us directly (for example, because they wish to place an order). We typically use the following data:
- name and address of the shipping and delivery address
- Phone number
- Billing address
- E-mail address
- Payment information
- IP address.
2. Security
We protect all customer information provided to us. We do not share customer data with third parties, with the exception of those companies we contract to help us with the processing and delivery of customer orders. We require these companies to handle the data just as carefully as we do and insist that customer data be used by the ONLY for the purpose for which it was given. 3. Storage Periods
We keep personal data as long as necessary to process customer orders. We then store the data for a maximum of two years, in case any aspect of the order is subsequently queried by a customer. The data will then be erased unless the law requires us to keep it longer. For example, the law obliges us to keep payment records for seven years.
4. Use of Data
We use the data we receive from customers to:
- Process and deliver orders
- Communicate with customers about a specific order
- Send customers news and updates about ELB where they have indicated that they wish to receive such information and with the caveat that customers may unsubscribe at any point to these updates
5. Third Parties
Our website occasionally contains links to other websites. We cannot guarantee that these companies will handle customer data to the same standards as we do. We recommend that customers first read the Privacy Statement of those sites before using them.
6. Changing the Privacy Statement
In order to inform customers accurately about the use of their data, it may be that on occasions, ELB makes changes to this Privacy Statement. We advise customers to regularly read this Privacy Statement to be aware of such changes.
7. Viewing, changing and deleting data
Customers are at liberty to send us a request to view, change, delete or transfer data personal to them. Customers can at any point withdraw their permission for using their data.
